Mccann Leaks: The Real Target

OK, here’s a small quiz for you (10 points for each correct answer):
1. What sort of people would want to sabotage the setting up of a Europe wide Amber Alert system that has proved successful in the US and France for quickly finding abducted children?
Answer: Obviously, those who know that their business of abducting children would be hindered.
2. Who might these people be?
Answer: Pedophiles; pedophile networks; those who take bribes from or who are being blackmailed by pedophiles rings. In short, those who stand to lose from children being quickly found.
3. Who tried to sabotage the discussion of the Amber Alert system in Brussels this week?
Answer: Pedophiles The Portuguese Police. (Give yourself 100 bonus points if you got that one right)
Yes, I was shocked too; they weren’t on my list either: Someone from the so called professional police force (PJ) chose the very day the Mccanns went to Brussels to ask for the Amber Alert system to be adopted across Europe, to leak transcripts of their police statements to the press.
The person that leaked the information has had ten or so months to leak it, but chose the day the Mccanns were in Brussels fighting for a system that would help save the lives of children. Not the Day before they went, not the day after, but that very day when the agenda was about something bigger and more important than the Mccanns.
The information leaked was nothing new; that the Mccanns left their children in the apartment believing them to be safe…we all knew that and have known about it since day one. So, the only conclusion can be that the leaker’s target was the Amber Alert system rather than the Mccanns…or he thought he’d kill two birds with one vicious stone.
4.Why would a Portuguese policeman want to derail a system that would help abducted children?

Yup. It’s hard to come to any other conclusion isn’t it.
31 kids? I’d like to see the links. I wonder how many were Roma children.
And what sort of ages.
I’d like to see this alert system run a global incident map like this one:
http://www.globalincidentmap.com
Which has an Amber Alert Map where you can see all missing child incidents across America.
It should include attempted abductions but create different visuals for different categories. There seem to me to have been a number of attempts to include disappearances of children who have been taken by estranged partners or who have genuinely run away from home as teenagers in the figures of disappeared children. It’s not that I don’t think these incidents are significant, I do. But if they are included in the figures of stranger abductions of pre-teen and infant children they confuse the issue…I think there is a tendency for people to got WHAT!!!!!!! XXX no of kids have gone missing and I never heard of it!!?? And then to learn that a large number of these were taken by an estranged parent or ran off under age. Both of those cases deserve and need their own attention and there is a very definite problem of girls on the cusp of coming of age being groomed to be barely legal prostitutes as we have seen in the recent cases Kate highlighted.
However what is needed is a true picture of successful and attempted stranger abductions of young kids with various features to enable different kinds of searches (eg all successful and attempted abductions of children between 5 and 9 within a time period). The technology required would be similar to this Earthquake monitoring site where you can play an animation of all incidents and watch patterns emerge>

The point would be to try and isolate the activities of paedophiles. And not only so that parents could be aware (in some senses it would be useless, people are mobile and one incident isn’t necessarily a warning about another in close proximity though a number in a region might be). I believe that someone who had suspicions about a friend, relative or colleague would be justifiably extremely reluctant to speak out about them and may want to do a bit of sleuthing themselves and they could make use of this sort of map.
It would also be very much more difficult for series of abductions/disappearances such as there have been over the years in Portugal to be suppressed. Ensuring that all attempts were clearly visible would be an enormous incentive to investigate them too.
As for Portugal, way back I might have expected a little suppression or underplaying of the problem there because they have a tourist industry to protect. However their behaviour has gone way way beyond that. There treatment of the McCanns and even Murat in this is not that of local authorities worried about the region’s income from foreign tourists, rather the reverse. This is what makes me think that they are so desperately trying to cover up something. Coach parties of 3 Arguidos tourists are not going to compensate for the vast numbers who turned the page when they saw the word Algarve in the holiday brochure this year. I certtainly wouldn’t imagine a warm welcome in the Algarve on the evidence of what we have seen so whatever the reason for their continued assault on the British it cannot have much to do with the tourist trade which is kind of odd in a way. If it is not that they are covering a ring then who has the motivation to kill off the UK income stream into Portugal and why?

My feelings exactly, and I believe I posted to that effect somewhere. It really concerns me at how high in certain Governments, corruption goes, in all areas not just this. Even the judicial system is corrupt. I often wonder if you can truly believe and trust in any government, or any judicial system, in any country in the world.
